Clorox Healthcare® Bleach Germicidal Cleaners are unique, stabilized sodium hypochlorite and detergent solutions that kill pathogens fast — with a one-minute contact time for a broad range of microorganisms, including MDROs such as Acinetobacter baumannii, Enterobacter aerogenes, VRE and MRSA.

Clorox Healthcare® Bleach Germicidal Cleaners are premixed, ready to use and are similar to the 1:10 bleach solution strength that is recommended by CDC guidelines for effective disinfecting. Clorox Healthcare® Bleach Germicidal Cleaners contain an anticorrosive ingredient that makes them less damaging to surfaces or equipment than conventionally prepared bleach solutions.

The detergent and anticorrosive ingredients of Clorox Healthcare® disinfecting products make them excellent cleaners for use on different hard, nonporous surfaces such as stainless steel, glazed ceramic tile, hard plastics, nonporous vinyl, painted surfaces, Plexiglas®, laminated plastic countertops, fiberglass (sealed) surfaces, glazed porcelain and glass. For best results, apply the cleaning solution directly to the surface until it is completely wet for the contact time indicated on the label.

Meets Bloodborne Pathogen Standards

OSHA has approved the use of bleach solutions as an effective means of protecting healthcare workers from the risk of contamination by bloodborne pathogens.

Gross contamination (visible soil) must be cleaned up first with soap and water, then followed by use of the bleach solution for disinfecting.
