Commercial Delivery Driver

Summary:

Baumann Paper Company is a locally owned and operated distribution company. We are looking for personable, efficient individuals to join our company in the role of delivery driver. Must have a great attitude and ability to provide a high-level of customer service. Our runs are generally short-haul runs within the state of Kentucky. There are no overnight runs. Be home every night and weekend. As a family-owned and operated company, we offer flexibility along with great benefits.

Duties:

Class B Driver: Operate a box truck.
Class A Driver: Operate a tractor trailer as well as a box truck.
Deliver product to customers with a courteous and professional attitude.
Deliveries will be to both loading docks as well as delivery locations specified by the customer which may require use of a dolly or pallet jack.
Load product onto trucks.
Complete all required paperwork legibly, accurately & timely.
Complete deliveries with a focus on safety, efficiency and customer service.

Experience:

3 years minimum experience

Requirements:

Class A or B CDL licenses required.
3 years CDL experience.
Drivers will be subject to random drug and alcohol screening.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous forklift experience preferred.
Excellent time-management skill.
No DUI in last 7 years.

Workhours:

Monday - Friday workweek, 35 to 45 hours per week, 6 to 10 hours per day.
Deliveries run from 8 AM to 5 PM, but shifts start as early as 6 AM.

Payrate:

Starting Pay Rate: $21.00/hour for Class B Drivers ($20 for first 90 days)
Starting Pay Rate: $23.00/hour for Class A Drivers ($22 for first 90 days)
$300 quarterly safety bonus, $50 monthly cell-phone allowance
Approximate Annual Wages: $44,880 - $51,720

Physical Requirements:

Consistently lift 20 to 50 lbs.
Occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
Can walk 1 mile.
Have no uncorrected visual impairments.
Have no uncorrected hearing impairments.
Have no physical impairments that would prevent forklift operation or motor vehicle operation.
Have full use of all limbs.
Have full range of motion including: pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, and lifting.
Take no medications that would affect the operation of a forklift or vehicle.
Must be able to manually stack cases of product onto pallets.
